I went on January 25 to buy a pair of boots that I was looking to get for ages until finally I could afford them. Besides I was deeply interested to get high quality crafted shoes and to buying locally, but all my enthusiasm went down as soon as I got to the store in Glasgow St because I experienced an awful customer service, the lady who helped me to find out my size and the colour of my preference was short-tempered and every time that I was asking about the color, she was repeating "we dont display them in all the colours because we made them by order" fact that I already knew more than enough. The only thing that I wanted to know it was the range of brown tones that I could get, but the information was not clear. She treated me like I didnt understand English, even if it is my second language, I knew exactly what she was saying and not gestures were need. Even if I wanted to walk away I ended up buying the boots because I couldnt find them anywhere else. It is the first time that I come across a situation like this in NZ. Finally, I hope this review helps to improve the customer service and get focus in customers need.

I ordered a pair of McKinlays three days ago, I am in Auckland and they arrived today! That was with the free shipping option on the website! The boots are absolutely stunning, and fit perfectly (I used the McKinlays measuring guide on their website). It came with a beautiful shoe brush and a glass jar of Dasco leathercare balm and a McKinlays cotton tote (all of which was a surprise!). All over, amazing product, fantastic service and quick delivery. I will be buying many more styles of boots after this experience and I have told all my friends and work colleagues about you! Great customer service, very comfortable shoes and hard wearing. I am on my feet all day and my shoes are going strong after 18months. McKinalys kindly replaced my inner soles so they have a lease of life. Highly recommend there shoes, worth every penny.
