That was an amazing trip! Best experience ever. Lovely people, very friendly and we feel so welcomed. BBQ lunch was good, water was clear. Saw heaps of dolphins, was lucky we saw blue penguins too. It is 100% choice for you if you want to go see marine life in paihia, I will say it’s much better than normal tourist cruises, suits small group and very fair price, worth to go! We will definitely come back!

To be honest, I don’t know how to begin with... I think this is the very first time I write a review... and the reason is due to the great experience we had today!!! It was everything absolutely amazing... way better of our expectations... it couldn’t have been better... Vanessa and her crew (Wandy) are lovely, nice and they make you part of everything... We even helped them to set up the sails... at all times We felt as we were part of the team... I’m speaking for my wife as well since it was our honeymoon trip!!! I asked my wife what she most liked about them and she told me: they were great when we called them for the first time, the boat was incredible, really clean including the toilet... along the trip they tell you about everything... the barbecue was great... and they are so kind!!! Not to mention that we left 9am and came back at 3pm for almost the same price you pay for a 3h trip packed as sardine... hehe Vanessa and Wandy we appreciate everything you guys did for us... you guys made our honeymoon so special... see ya next time!!!

What's a great day on the water we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves saw dolphins in the morning from a distance and up. Close in the afternoon. Was a thoroughly relaxing day cruising and sailing through the islands Hosts were fantastic
This tour was amazing! I was really keen to get out on a boat during my time in Paihia, and I couldn't have picked a better group to go with. Vanessa, Ronda, and Bruce were excellent tour guides and lovely to chat with. Obviously seeing the dolphins were the highlight, but I also truly enjoyed the smaller group size, the addition of sailing at the end of our day, and the BBQ lunch. My first swim of the year was lovely, as well! I would highly recommend this tour group to anyone looking for an unforgettable Bay of Islands experience.
I cannot stress enough how truly wonderful this experience was. My wife and I are possitively buzzing, hours after our trip. First of all, upon boarding the vessel, we are welcomed by our Captain Vanessa and by Bruce and Wayne. That's right, Bruce Wayne was on the Catamaran. I am instantly at ease. They were so welcoming that we felt like VIPs. My wife and myself were the only passengers that morning so we thought perhaps it would be quiet and boring but to our pleasant surprise Vanessa and Wayne took turns informing us about the area and telling us stories that kept us entertained. We had a chance to explore and island with beautiful flora and fauna, we got to swim in a secluded calm beach and we were served classic kiwi BBQ favourites. The highlight of the trip came next. Just as we were losing hope of seeing marine mammals a pod of bottlenosed dolphins emerged from the waters to give us a wonderful aquatic show to rival seaworld. Vanessa made it clear that these were wild dolphins and as such we weren't allowed to actively search for them but through their communication, the captain was able to share with us this amazing view. In fact, the Dolphins stayed with us for so long, the crew had to switch off the engine so they would get bored and leave. All in all it was a wonderful experience made extra special by the genuine good nature of Vanessa, Wayne and Bruce. We would be fools to not avail of their service should we find ourselves in the area again in the future. I cannot say more wonderful things about you guys. This was an awesome day, thank you!

I read all of the reviews for Carino before booking, and I am glad I did. Most of the people who have written negative reviews did so because they didn't get to see or swim with dolphins. This is explicitly stated on the Carino website, yes it is a gamble, but you're on a boat in the Bay of Islands, that in itself is so amazing! Carino is a small tour company, family run, and they follow the DOC rules to a T. The cruise was beautiful, we saw a huge pod of dolphins, swam to shore, hiked, had a great BBQ lunch, and a quiet sale back to Paihia. I highly recommend Carino other the larger tours.
