House Hunt

When I went up to the counter I was being served by an older lady and I was 18 at the time. I asked to add a lighter to my total because I was trying to round up my total as I was paying with cash and I needed it for my fireplace. The lady then asked me my age , and I responded with "18" then offered to show her my ID, but the lady stopped me and said she could not sell the lighter to me as I had to be over 21. I was a little shocked and confused as I had never been refused the sale of a simple lighter before despite the retail person knowing my age. However I finished up with the lady and brought my other products then proceeded to walk around the corner and found another 2 dollar shop. Not only were their prices cheaper (the store was much cleaner as well) but I told the people I would like to buy and lighter and that I was 18 and they said that was fine and proceeded to sell me the item. I am giving this store 2 stars for unnecessary refusal of sale and for being more expensive than the other local 2 shop around the corner. Next time I would be more than happy to take my money to a more deserved 2 shop and wont hesitate to tell my family members and friends that as well :)
