I have often had brunch or lunch at the Beachcomber, and have always enjoyed it: good food, views to sea, peaceful. Unfortunately, when I went there for lunch with my husband the other day, there was a group of about 5 at the bar, quite loud, not very well dressed and often swearing. Some of them went out the inside door for a smoke but stayed inside the entrance so smoke came through. Then they sat at the table and continued to smoke. To leave, we had to walk close by. I looked for the manager but there were two women there (not the manager) and I didn't want to cause trouble by speaking up in front of this group.

Lovely atmosphere, nice food, very friendly staff.
I've been a regular customer of this establishment since 2004 when I was first came across it through my friends who lived in P'ram. Since that first visit, I've driven over from my home in Wainuiomata most weekends to do so. [Staying the night and returning home the next day] Friday and Saturday nights are karaoke nights and I have yet to find a more people friendly bar anywhere. I have invited numerous friends to join me for an evening there and they have always enjoyed themselves and although most of them are also non-P'ram people, several have become regular visitors as well. I would recommend the Beachcomber to anyone who wishes to have an enjoyable evening in a country pub-type atmosphere where the regular locals are totally welcoming and friendly to all. Do make a visit, you will not be disappointed.
Awful coffee. Double shot lattes were bitter and thin.Otherwise tasteless. Almost like the machine hadn't been cleaned out properly for weeks, and they couldn't afford to supply the normal measure of milk despite charging over 5 each
great place to meet friends for a drink and meal.
