We hired a 21 van for two weeks. We picked it up in Auckland and traveled Northland and the Far North and then dropped it off in Wellington (depot in Plimmerton actually). It was the BEST! Very modern and easy to drive vans. Very clean and tidy and well thought out. The satellite tv was a huge bonus as we were able to watch the America's Cup. Service from Maryann was professional, fast, accommodating & friendly. We loved it so much, we already want to hire another bigger camper van from them again. This is a family owned local business. Highly recommend to anyone considering a road trip!!

We hired a six berth, and even convinced our cousins to hire one too. We travelled after lockdown last year in June. Communication and questions were answered promptly. Our vehicle was clean and walk through was good as we were first timers. We absolutely loved it and will definitely hire from Pacific again

Great service, free shuttle service to hotel or from airport and car was great. Will definitely use them again.
We chose Pacific Horizon because it allowed us to pick up in Auckland and drop off in Wellington. We were picked from our Hotel by our new camper and taken back to their location in order to do the paperwork and be briefed on the features of the vehicle. Had no issues at all with the vehicle and clocked up 2000km cruising the North Island. We dropped into Wellington and were transported to our Hotel. All staff we dealt with were great and very professional. We will be using again when we return to do the South Island.

Flawless experience with Pacific Horizon and will definitely use again if we revisit New Zealand. Very friendly and accommodating staff, both on pickup and return. Ed even did a last-minute vacuum when he noticed some leftover sand in the shower cabin. And when we forgot a few bottles of wine in the van after returning it, Tracy was so kind to drop them off at our accommodation going home from work. This is all top-notch customer service. The van itself (MB Sprinter 21 berth) was perfect and very new with only 40K kilometers, and we did not even book their premium recent vehicle package. It drove like a charm and everything worked as expected. Sleeping was as good as one can expect in a campervan thanks to good bedding. They don't reserve an insurance deposit on your creditcard and do not charge a one-way fee. Free pickup from and dropoff to your accommodation in your 'own' campervan. We are happy we chose a smaller family-owned company, this is doing business like it's supposed to be. Big thanks to PH team and company for their wonderful service and great campervan, which played an important role for us in having an absolutely epic holiday in NZ.
Good quality and clean campervans but dishonest management and staff who take extra money from your credit card for made up reasons.
