Pourakino Valley, New Zealand
Unnamed Road
N/A
Good place to come. Sadly it was better as a campground but access onto the grass etc with Vehicles had to be restricted due to idiots on wheels. The historic value of the place has also been marred when they took away the old Steam engine used to haul logs during the logging era of some years ago. The Steam engine was being shot at and vandalized and therefore was removed to Riverton next to the Museum. A walk along the track from here will take you to viewed of the old overgrown bridge over the Pourakino and a pleasant bush walk. Access to this place is now via Jubilee Hill Road just north west outside Otautau. The old Harrington Road access is no longer viable.
