Our standard cabin was well-built and comfortable, with the right balance between practicality and cost. The kitchens, showers and toilets were clean and well maintained. Good showers were perfect at the end of a long dusty or sand day exploring! We had some difficulty putting tent pegs into the ground, in the very dry weather. Service and management was prompt and efficient. The resident animals were delightfully friendly, as were the longer-term guests. This town was a great place to base ourselves from, for exploring the Far North.

We stayed 4 nites in our caravan in this camping ground. We have been travelling round NZ for 2months so far with 1month left. This would be our Number 1 favorite place to stay. We were given a friendly welcome. Lovely clean showers & toilets, & kitchen. Friendly locals. We were given fresh snapper & fresh mussells by locals & other campers. Would definitely recommend this place to people looking for a wonderful camping experience.

Spent 5 days camping here. We enjoyed our stay. It doesn’t have a pool but is close enough to the beach. Kitchen fitted out with anything you need (would be good to bring your own drying towels as there weren’t many and they were wet most of the time). It is worth noting that parts of the park are looking quite tired and need some tlc, besides that it is lovely. They even had a water slide up for the kiddies when it got too hot. Would stay here again!
