Definitely worth the walk over. Not as tough coming back. Great to see DOC has protect Kauri stations set u at entrance to clean shoes. Beautiful bush walk, heard lots of birds, the water at beach is lovely plus there is a great swing at beach. Got to see Dotterals, which are always delight to see Check out viewing point not long after entrance, stunning views.

Beautiful beach and one of the best we encountered in the Coromandel. Not overly busy either. Nice little beach break for surfing and plenty of shade with pohutakawas edging the beach.
Nice place, not very crowded, be careful because a friend and I did nearly drown here, And we are good swimmers.
