Beautiful wild beach! A must visit! A short 10min walk through a few green hills to get to the beach.

This is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the south island. The views from many different points are stunning, specially from the top of the rightmost "island". Despite the required walk from the road to the beach and in the beach, it is a nice place for kids to run around in the dunes. The "pool" with the seals is fantastic.

Wow, what an absolutely beautiful beach. Even got to see baby seals playing in the rock pools. This was the highlight of our Golden Bay trip

I wasn't that excited about visiting a beach, but I have to say this beach was impressive. The rock formations are fantastic, and the walk to and from the beach is very nice. We didn't see seals, but we probably didn't look in the right place. Take the short 20-minute walk to the beach, then walk left to the end of the beach and take the long way back, which is much more comfortable than the short way as it is through farmland rather than loose sand. I found the sand very hot and I thought it was burning my feet as it came in the holes in my crocs. Sneakers would be best. There is no shade on the beach apart from caves, which are very interesting.

Absolutely stunning beach - one of the best (in my opinion) within the South Island. Seals/nursing pups, sand dunes and fabulous scenery. It's not a safe beach for a dip unless you're an extremely strong swimmer . There's also a really cool cafe (complete with resident peacocks and a great vibe) at the entrance - my partner said it was the best coffee he'd had during the entire road trip around the South Island. It's DOC land, so sadly no dogs allowed.

Went on a very windy and wet day. There's no shelter for the first 10 mins of the track so if it looks like rain dress appropriately. Beach was fun on a windy day. Still pulling sand out of my ears!. All that said would love to go back on a better day and do more exploring.

One of the most beautiful beaches in NZ. You can see seals playing on the rocks. Also it joins on to a hiking trail through farmland.

Great place. We just did the walk down to the beach as daylight hours were running out but great rock and cave formations at the beach. We walked round the hillside to get to the beach - great views of Cape Farewell
