Had a ball with our Britz campervan - Kenny. Very comfortable and great to be able to stop anywhere for a cuppa! surprisingly easy to drive and just what we needed for our trip at a pretty reasonable rate.

Enjoyed the overall experience of the camper van adventure. It was great to be free to stop or go and not be tied to an itinerary. We did an Otago loop beginning and ending in Queenstown. Felt the introduction to the vehicle by Britz staff left a lot to be desired. No one asked if it was the 1st time we had used a camper van, it seemed to be assumed that we had some knowledge and the walk through was brief. Had to go back to office couple of times to clarify things before we departed. The van seemed “well used”- lots of chips and dents, the bed was extremely uncomfortably, the windscreen wipers needed replacing and steering wheel vibrated whenever brakes were applied. We were impressed with the provisioning of the van, sufficient crockery, cutlery, linen, pots and pans, etc. The van was reliable and ran well. Pwerhaps when vans are “well used” they should be rented out at a lower rate. Van was definitely not in premium condition. Return check in was efficient and professional and Britz staff member appreciated our constructive comments.
Sadly not a great review. The Campervan was tired, we had to replace it a few days into the trip as it broke down. Whilst waiting, we did receive a voucher to go and grab some breakfast, which we appreciated, but it did not really make up for the winery lunch we planned and missed. However communication between all parties was poor, when the broken van was dropped off and again when it came to dropping second van off. Considering the tourism sector is crying out for business, you would think that they would send out their best campers to people using their services, not the oldest ones in the category chosen. Fridge in the first van smelt bad. Fridge in second van was tricky to open. Second van's drawers did not stay shut. There was a screw poking through the wood where the pillows go, which is dangerous. When van was returned and we reported these issues, we were told that it should not have gone out in this condition. Sadly though this experience has put me off campervanning for a while.
Happy with the overall experience and prompt support from the staff. Highly recommended!
Excellent vehicle and easy to drive. APP is essential as so much information is explained onsite and not all is remembered. Great customer service. Left A camera charge behind. Britz made immediate contact and posted charger back. Thanks Britz
My partner and I had the Britz camper for a week and we were pleasantly surprised! The camper was newish and comfy. Staff made our pick up and drop off process very easy.
what can I say! absolutely OUTSTANDING customer service from the Queenstown branch! well exceeded my expectations, it was so super easy and the team were super friendly. When we boarded our plane home, I realized I had left items in an overhead cupboard, when I landed in Wellington I emailed Britz to let them know and well.. they had already arranged the items return on a courier - which arrived back to me the next day! so over the moon and excited to book again. thank you all for making our trip that much better. amazing!! 5 stars all the way !
Britz Queenstown was absolutely fantastic to deal with. The staff were really helpful from pickup to drop-off. We had a little issue while we had the vehicle and the THL assistance team were equally great, got it all sorted within a couple of hours. I will certainly use them again. Great team, great service, friendly staff, nice vehicles.
