Great hostel, good facilities and very clean. Quite expensive for a hostel, but hot tub and sauna make up for it, as well as beautiful sunset views. Also, pretty much the only option for backpackers in the town.

Raglan backpackers has been one of the most special spots for me in my NZ travels!! The moment you step into the place the energy of the staff, the owners, and the other guests warms you right on up. My two days turned into 3 weeks so far in Raglan because of these lovely humans. Plus, who knew you could find such stunning views, a spa, comfy beds, and even great shower pressure all in one place?! I felt so fortunate to be there for the two weeks I was and would recommend this gem of a spot to anyone!!

The best backpacker experience I ever had!!!! You indeed feel like a part of a family. They offer free kayak for the estuary, and you can rent bigger kayaks for the coast at a really competitive price. The little garden inside is lovely. It’s just a completely relaxing and entertaining time spent there. A great way to end my month-long NZ trip. Thank you. You guys are superb!!!

Friendly staff(including the cat Meg), definitely nice vibe with great view, amazing location..... Was quite noisy with thin walls at night... girls shower broke so had to use unisex which wasnt the best. Found used cotton bud when entered room so cleanness isnt at top notch...if you are looking for some private time better consider again.

Excellent hostel with awesome vibe. Cheap surfing, free kajaking. There is a hot pool, a sauna, a slackline and a lot more to ensure a great stay! Good place to get stuck!
