I have been before and its been good for kids. The day we went 3 of the 4 "passes" were unavailable but this wasn't on their website from what we saw. Would have been good to be aware of prior to going. I should have realised when carpark was fairly empty and people were walking in then back out fairly quickly.

Seen the beautiful kiwi birds in the grow chambers, nice walk around the park. Had a great time with the family.

Mostly closed for renovations. Is great when open but not at the moment.

Awesome wildlife park in Rotorua with some unique features. The walk through the redwoods, aviaries and trout pools is the same as it ever was. They have added 'playscapes' along the way which is great to keep kids busy with physical activities and hands-on games. There's also an area with various water experiments to keep little minds busy. The jewel in the crown is, of course, the kiwi house where you can learn about the national bird and eventually (hopefully) see some for real in the nocturnal house. Beyond this there is a playground (currently undergoing refurbishment but still a small area to play in) and the 'Big Splash' ride by the cafe which is doesn't cost any extra but is looking a bit tired - the drop at the end is still a thrill tho.

Excellent place to take the kids for a stroll. Kids can learn a lot about kiwi birds & other animals. You can even feed the rainbow trouts. It also has a free ride called The Big Splash, just remember to bring a towel or spare shorts when you get wet. Overall its a nice place to spend time with kids. Enjoy!!!!

We visited towards the beginning of our trip and although we saw some places like it after, none were as authentic or high quality as Rainbow Springs. Luckily someone who had traveled here before told us about this as it not to be missed. The Kiwi hatchery was amazing. It was heartwarming to see the baby kiwis in the incubators and being hand fed. Tour size is limited, booked in advanced, and well worth it! We did the Big Splash several times which was fun, and we took the guided tour of the park. The gift shop had all of the items you could want as souvenirs and many items have a portion donated to the park and hatchery. It feels you are making a difference when you visit here. It was a lovely day and experience that will be remembered as one of the highlights of our trip.

Came here and had an absolute blast !!! The pricing is super reasonable considering all the things you get to do/see. Very friendly and helpful staff i highly recommend this place for anyone who's hesitant. Unfortunately I only got some low quality photos of the trout but I would love to come back again

I really liked the experience. I love animals and here I could learn more about New Zealand birds and reptiles. Is such a nice place with a lot trees, information points and games for kids. Highly recommended!
