RSC contains two state of the art operating rooms (OR), and a procedure room. There are six post anaesthetic care beds and a second stage recovery area. The facility provides an endoscopy service, specialist consulting rooms, with a number of non surgical specialists visiting RSC. Whilst RSC is initially a purely daycase facility, provisions have been made for 6-8 overnight beds. Opening of the overnight beds will be dependent on need and done with the clinical board's close oversight. The benefit for patients is that you no longer need to travel to Auckland for the very best healthcare. Surgeons and physicians will be holding regular clinics at RSC and numerous other convenient locations around Rodney and Kaipara (including Wellsford, Warkworth and Red Beach).
