My car bumper fell off while I was out at an appointment with my preschooler. We walked into Shore Automotive (which was close by) looking for help. They were very accommodating and was able to fit me into their busy schedule. One of the mechanics walked back to the car with us, taped up the bumper and drove the car back to the premises to fix properly. The car was ready within a couple of hours. I really appreciated the excellent customer service.

Shore Automotive has been servicing my car for several years now. I recently had a WOF and service done and what I really appreciate from them is they always phone me and let me know in advance what needs doing. They tell me what has to be done, what the cost of that will be and what is coming up and will keep that car running optimally, what the costs will be and then give me the option of what I want to go ahead with. As a female not knowing a lot about cars I feel like I can trust them and they are not just doing work I don’t need. On top of that they are always friendly and easy to deal with, I will continue to keep using them and would recommend them to others.

Not 100% sure on these guys, hence the three stars. Took my car for a warrant and service and needed a lot of repairs to get up to warrant standard. I couldn't afford to get everything done in one go, and payment plan wasn't an option, so I got the repairs done at another location. I then wrongly assumed they would be closed during L3 lockdown and missed the 28day cut-off for the WOF recheck - all good, that's on me, though some form of communication letting customers know that they were open during L3 would have been nice. I then requested the WOF checklist/paperwork from the initial check for my records, as it hadn't been given to me previously. First answer I got was there is no paperwork, it hadn't been done as it gets rolled in with the service, and they do the paperwork on the re-check once it has passed. They offered to reprint the invoice from the initial service for me instead. Sounded odd to me (the lack of paperwork) and I'm not really impressed, but not much I can do about that so I leave. About 20minutes later I have a missed call and a text saying the checksheet has been found and I can come collect it. When I get back I'm given a patchy photocopy of a WOF checklist - they only have their copy of the form, not the customer copy so it's all they can give me. Overall, I went to these guys based on the online reviews as they seemed very positive, and I can confirm they are friendly and polite to deal with. However my interaction has unfortunately left me feeling less than confident in their service and I don't think I'll return. Not having a complete record of the WOF check (failed or not) just doesn't sit right with me, and the explanations and reasoning felt a bit vague to me, which was off-putting.

The boot of my car stopped locking and I called around to many other mechanics who didn't want to give me a quote for an assessment, which made me pretty nervous to just go ahead and book it in! Shore Automotive were great. They gave me the cost for a 30-45min assessment so I knew what to expect. Once they found the problem they called me to give me an updated quote see if I would like them to fix the problem before they put everything back together. The cost was very reasonable and came in 10% under quote. All done in a few hours. Great service thanks.

Servicing and WoF. Part around the oil filter had issues and drained oil out all around Auckland. They sorted a pickup and found the faulty part and fixed all with no extra charge.. even came round to clean up the oil on the drive and roads around the house. Great communication throughout. Going the extra mile . Cheers guys.
