Put my policy on hold while going overseas for a few months (after having it for years) and was told I could restart it when I got back to the country. Attempted to do that this week, and the very unempathetic CS rep told me that as it's been more than 30 days since I re-entered the country, I was unable to restart it and they were going to cancel my policy altogether. Have had terrible interactions with them in the past over claims and general customer service stuff, don't know why I bothered to stick with them but maybe a blessing in disguise that I'm forced to look elsewhere now. Awful company.

Their online app is so helpful for me to detect where my covers are at and how much allowance. They are always so responsive and so helpful and clear with the T&Cs

Had a great support call making changes to my policy with one of the customer support team, Frankie. They were knowledgeable about the available policies, explained billing processes clearly and in simple terms, and listened well. This was my first interaction with Southern Cross but all good so far.

Applied for cover to have a mole removed and its was denied as it was excluded because I've had one in an irritating place removed as a precaution by my GP in the past. Got my list of exclusions from Southern Cross which includes "stress" as I mentioned that to my GP previously. Never been diagnosed or treated for it. Seriously only take cover if you've never visited your GP before.

Can not believe how difficult it is to interact with this organisation. Called to update a policy, wanted to add a new one. Forwarded to sales, sales then told me to sign up to the new policy online. No option to add a new policy to my insurance... Terrible website UX and staff giving misinformation. Sure, call me.. I'm an existing member you should have my details

The standard of customer service at Southern Cross have gone down the drain. I submitted a complaint, its been more than a week and they do not even bother to look into it. Totally disappointed with the unprofessional treatment from Southern Cross. Highly Recommend to avoid this insurance company!

Southern Cross are you reading these?. What a pattern?. Fix your Customer Service product knowledge. I emailed a query, received a call I couldn't take (which was why I emailed). Had to go through yr 0800 number and repeat the whole thing again and the Consultant did not understand - kept leaving the call to seek advice. Put the Manager on!. Start managing your Customer Service.
