Loved staying here, it was like coming to stay with good friends. Super relaxed, very welcoming and Mark spoils you rotten with his home cooked breakfast and endless coffee. Lovely old home that has been done up beautifully.
Excellent place to stay. The owner has done a magnificent job restoring this 1909 villa. Our room was magnificent. The owner is friendly and helpful and provides an excellent breakfast. If you are going to Takaka this is the place to stay.

Best breakfast on our trip so far. Nicest host, lovely historic house with plenty of shared space - garden, kitchen can be used by all guests and even the home brewed beer on tap is for free. You can't find a better place to explore Golden Bay and Abel Tasman, or to get inspired :)
Realllllly beautiful building, lovingly converted into a quirky, boutique guest house. My room had a view of mountains in the distance and waking to sunrise over them was delightful! Whilst separate from the room, the bathroom is still private, not shared. Common areas around the house and garden are spacious with wonderful décor. Owner Mark, is friendly and so helpful with information, as well as serving up a delicious breakfast! Cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you get the chance to stay, don't miss it.
