Oh my gosh! Their set menu is definitely the way to go especially when you can't decide! You get a starter, entree, mains, desserts and tea or coffee for 23-26pp for two depending on menu option - group of locals came in before we left and ordered a set menu straight away and were hungrily awaiting so it just be a popular choice. We got the set menu 2 and it was extremely delicious and generous portions! Must be the cheapest option for dinner in Taihape apart from the fast food options. Was a little bit of a wait but we understand they were busy and it was a long weekend but food and service definitely made the wait worth it!

Beautiful meals, had to wait 30 minutes as were so busy but well worth the wait. If passing through again will be definitely stopping.

Extremely small portions. When it came, it looked like a kids meal size. When I indicated to a staff, he just said: "that's our normal size meal we're giving to everyone" without any effort to make costumer satisfied. Hugely disappointing...

Short visit Taihape. We try out the food. It is delicious and hot (temperatures). We do enjoy our lunch.Friendly Chef.

Although there are more customers in the restaurant, it is not a reason to ignore me. I sat in my seat for a long time, and no one gave me the menu or water. I only gave it to me when I asked it. It’s not ice water, tap water directly, Mamma Mia, this is the most transparent time I have become a transparent person, and I won’t come again in the future.

Friend rice is good but the sweet and sour pork didn't come with rice. Was tasty though
