Dear Tony and Rick, I am so glad that we chose you to take care of my sister’s funeral. I came all the way from Perth, Western Australia, not knowing where to start. I was given three referrals, hoping to make the right choice. I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for but I know that I made the right decision. Our experience with you and your family was exactly what we needed every step of the way. You guided us through the process without rushing us or forcing anything on us. You always made us feel comfortable in making recommendations, taking the time to make sure we were comfortable with your suggestions, and supporting our decisions. There was never any pressure to make choices outside of our budget and we never felt uncomfortable working to that. You were all so caring, compassionate and relaxed, and did so much to make this personal with special touches and flexibility to make my sister’s day special and treasured. Your offer for the boys to have their ‘last ride with mum’ meant the world to them. Such a special moment and memory. You give us “Hope” in humanity’s ability to genuinely care for other’s needs. Hi Team Hope. It is nigh on impossible to find enough words to cover off the experience I've just had with your amazing family but I'll give it a go. I had had just 5 months between losing my Dad, where we used another company, and my Mum, where I chose to ask you to help me. This sadly gave me a unique perspective and opportunity to compare experiences. Where the other company had said no to my requests for small but important things, the answer with you was always yes. Where I felt the weight of all the workload required with Dad's and it all fell on my shoulders, you said 'we can do that for you'. When I stood there shell-shocked and lost, you invited me into your home, sat me down, and gave me a chance to chill out. You allowed me to be involved, right to what seem like the smallest details (but huge to me), and were entirely professional while still working with my quirky sense of humour! There was also a significant difference in the costs between the 2 funerals. So much more in terms of the experience, for a LOT less. There is no point in mentioning single people, the whole family were amazing, every single person added to my experience in a positive way. I wish I could repay the kindness, I shall do so by telling EVERYONE how awesome you are!
Highly recommended. Responsive, compassionate and all round, a wonderful family based business. When another well established funeral home in the area wouldn’t pick up my grandfather in the middle of the night, this company came without hesitation knowing it was important to us that he was not left in a nursing home. I simply cannot fault this business. My special thanks to Ricky and his parents for the humility and humour - you’re amazing people.
Hope Family Funerals are a wonderful team made up of family & friends. Their level of service is second to none. I have heard of so many great reviews from the families they have helped through such a tragic time. I would highly recommend them for your funeral.
I found Tony and his family excellent to deal with when arranging my mother's funeral. They were always considerate, calm and supportive without being overbearing. This helped make what was a difficult time and process relatively stress free.
The Hope Family are the most caring, sincere and thoughtful people when it comes to taking care of loved ones who have passed on. They have taken care of my father-in-law, Jim Hurn (2017) and both my mother and father, Maria (2017) and Thys Geldenhuys (2019). We could not have wished for better.
