Excellent place to camp for a night or two. Good facilities. Bit of noise at night from the port. Well done TDC.

Sulphur Point is the access for boaties to Tauranga harbour and those who like hanging around boats. Home of Tauranga’s biggest marina, yacht club, restaurants, a great place to watch those using one of New Zealand’s greatest resources... its marine environments vid and fotos of harbour and around mayor island
We come here often. Heaps of Parking. Public Toilets. Boat Ramps. Fishing spots. Restaurants an other Businesses nearby. Heaps of Grassed area for Excercising your Dogs. Friendly area. Nice too stop for a break or picnic, play some sports with ya Family. Heaps of Space for Everyone. There's also designated areas for Campers too. Plenty of Trees for shade. Highly recommend
Great place to launch boats from. Plenty of space for multiple boats to launch at once
Even on an extremely busy Easter holiday day, we prefer to use this ramp, as it seems to be less busy.
Easy access. 6 slipways to stop conjestion. Easy launching all tides.
Extremely busy but great facility and good to have the boat wash working again
