It was a really great experience staying at Aotearoa Eco Pods and Surf School. Went here for my birthday with my girlfriend and had an overnight stay with surfing lessons. Che and the team are good at what they do. The views are pretty special! It’s like the best mound around the area. Got to see the sunrise and it was awesome. Really a peaceful, quiet place to unwind and relax. Would have wanted to book for another night but they were full. We also had a great time with Nathan for our first ever surfing experience. Will definitely recommend this activity! Overall, it was a great stay, will absolutely recommend it to anyone!

I stayed at the Teepee glamping and it was absolutely fabulous. Couldn't fault anything about it. Stayed 2 nights, would have loved to stay longer. Location is brilliant, staffs are very friendly and helpful. Loved the the view from the teepee and all facilities are clean and tidy. No hesitation in recommending this little gem. (Even my dog enjoyed and loved the place) Also recommend for the surf school that Che(onwer) runs! Best ever experience with friendly coaches! Will defenetly come back for weekend gateways
Had the most amazing time at the Women’s wellness weekend. Che and the team were brilliant. Accommodation was modern and clean. Food was delicious! Ophie, Hannah and Tiger were fantastic surf coaches providing support and guidance. Will certainly be back for more lessons!
My partner and I came up with our dog for the long weekend and we were blown away by this place! We stayed in one of the pods and everything was perfect! The view was amazing, everything was so clean and the staff members were all friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the weather was not the greatest during our stay so we didn't have the opportunity to enjoy a surf lesson (another reason to come back). Fortunately the bed was huuuuuge & very comfortable, free wifi and SmartTV and less than 10min drive to great takeaway options - I cannot recommend this place enough!
Amazing location. Very friendly staff. We stayed in the Glamping tent and facilities top notch. Girls had a great time with surf lessons. Thanks for awesome weekend.
This place is Shangri -La. from the view to cleanliness of the place, everything is spotless. For out in the country you have a really good shower and really good wifi. We stayed in a Tee-pee very romantic. In the morning we had breakfast over looking a breathtaking view, then we went to the beach. We watch Aotearoa Surf school doing there teaching which was inspiring in my opinion I felt there was a very high level of teaching and very high level of safety was taught and applied. They have inspired me, I can not speak for my wife but as a 59 year old male i recon I am going to go back and give it a try to learn to surf. At night we watch the sunset. The staff are very friendly and definitely go for their breakfast they supply. I found all staff are super friendly .
I stayed in a Eco Pod for a few nights while my older girls were at the Ultimate Surf Camp. Everything was neat and tidy and had amazing views. The shared kitchen was well equipped. All of the staff were fantastic and so friendly and helpful.
Thanks for having us.. such an awesome spot! Loved waking up and watching the sunrise over Te Arai from our Eco Pod
