We went camping at Te Haruhi for the first time last week after living on the coast for over 15 years and it was our best experience ever camping. Great spacious areas to set up camp and for kids to run and play, amazing bird life all around the tent, farm animals, gorgeous beach and hiking trails with glorious views. Thank you

What a fantastic campground. Set in a beautiful area this is a great place to stay for a few days. The ablution block is cleaned twice a day by the council. The hosts are very helpful abs the price is reasonably low. Highly recommend for a stay of a couple of nights or more.

Nice camp ground on a short drive from downtown. Lots to do for the kids, swimming, bird watching, tracks and lots more.

I stayed here a night in idyllic surroundings. Peace reigned supreme once all the visitors went home for the night. The water was clean & clear & my 50 cockles for dinner, divine. It was hard to find the larger ones, but I made it eventually. Watching out for the somewhat aggressive pukekos was more of a challenge, while their babies were out feeding. They seem to rule the park, to a large extent. It would be great if the council moved the speed hump away from the self contained parking though, as it’s a rude awakening at 5am, when someone went over it too fast. Otherwise a beautiful unspoiled spot to spend a day or a week

Fairly Spartan facilities, but tidy, not overcrowded and in a wonderful location. While we were there there were a number of groups with quite young kids which made it a very welcoming environment.
