This is the local sports ground but the locals have added toilets and also a sink for dish washing (that's on the outside of the building). Great place to park your RV for a night or two. Or look us up on campable and come stay at our place :) When covid hit in 2020 this place was packed out with stranded tourists. Locals did their best to look after our visitors so please respect the facilities so others can enjoy them too.

Beautiful stop. very clean, please make a donation if you stay as it's very hard to find a free place to stop in and rest after a long drive.

Great little spot. We were the only camping in tents, quite a few camper and further down. Was a nice little spot, donation box there. Toilets available as well. Unfortunately there was some construction or road works going throughout the night which was quite loud but I expect it's not like that all the time, so would probably stay there again.

It was great to stay for the night before head of to Auckland, after long jurney. Its has publick toilet nice and clean, we were only pay 5 for donation to keep park nice and clean.

A great location for a stopover - hard car park surface, surrounded by sports pitches. Good views across the surrounding area, including the lake. Toilet block open all the time. Power hook-up available - we didn't use it. Light on all night. Generally quiet, but a dog could be heard barking in the distance throughout the night. Walking distance to shops and tavern. Fenced dog park at the end of the road. We will go there again.
