Some really good art pieces. The artist where very familiar of the area and really nice to talk to.
Tararu cultural centre ' The Thames Art gallery and Thames Music and Drama (MAD) share yhe building which is a 19th century original former school house and hall. There are excellent exhibitions in the gallery - painting, print, sculpture, pottery, ceramics, textile art. Classes are held in the pottery room. Definitely check out the gallery by the seaside on the coast. Thames MAD hold rehearsals and seasonal performances in the intimate setting of the small hall as advertised locally as well as Steam Punk's Music Hall each November.
It's a great place, old historic building with an Arts Centre on one side and Thames Music & Drama, or MAD, on the other side.
The cultural centre houses the Thames Society of the Arts gallery. Featuring local artists across many artistic disciplines - wood, fibre art, paintings, sculpture and awesome pottery. Worth a visit
