What a great adventure with a great guy. We had 2 awesome days with Quentin, this was our first fly fishing experience. The knowledge that Quentin has of the river systems is second to none. He was patient and thorough and taught us many things we didn't know. When Quentin takes you for a full day trip he really does make every effort to go out of his way to make the experience memorable. I highly recommend Quentin and we will definitely be back to learn more.

Thanks Quentin for showing us a great 2 days, and for your patience! Quentin went all out to guide and teach us about fly fishing. Would recommend Quentin to anyone who wants a memorable fly fishing experience.

Go fish with Quentin…I cannot recommend him enough. We fished together for an overnight backcountry trip in December 2018. I explained via email the kind of experience I was looking for and he picked the absolute perfect river way back in the mountains. Where we fished, every time we turned a corner there was another gorgeous mountain range where the peaks were above the tree line. Not only was the scenery out of this world, the fish were stunning as well! Quentin’s eyes are phenomenal. The places he could see fish where I could not were amazing. Quentin ties his own flies. I came to NZ with a billion and ended up using his exclusively for our trip. They were absolutely gorgeous and they 100% worked. We caught fish on dry flies and nymphs. Quentin always picked the right fly for the situation and was happy to explain why he chose it as well. Some of the fish were in the main river and some small in-side channels. Crawling up the bank of a side channel to get close to a big brown trout, throwing a dry to it, and watching it come so far out of the water it seemed like the fish was looking you in the eye is what NZ is about…and that is exactly what we did-Hunted fish in crystal clear water! Quentin laughed with me when I laughed at myself after I somehow messed up the fish of a life time…multiple times! The meals Quentin brought were fantastic! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all phenomenal. Quentin was great company in the bush and I will 100% be fishing with him when I inevitably return to the South Island. If you’re reading this go book him. Just don’t do it when I want to fish with him!!!!

Had a great day on the water with Quentin. He is a complete professional. We consulted on the experience I was after and he nailed the call on which water to fish. We landed several beauties with his expert fish spotting and fly selection skills. And he is a great guy to spend a day with to boot. Five stars.

Had an epic day with Quentin. I have fished with many guides over many years. I would easily put him in my top five. Easy going guy, fun to be with, knows his stuff, works very hard to get you into fish, and his ability to spot fish is the best I have ever witnessed. If you are coming to the South Island, he should be your first inquiry.

Quentin is a great guide, good friend, who I had the pleasure to fish with on different occasions. I can highly recommend Quentin without a doubt!
