Service: slow and waitresses seemed stressed for a restaurant that wasn't very full. Atmosphere: It's more for a relaxed vibe before or after a movie. Taste: Lacked complexity to the dishes. The sorbet was the most unique dish. Kept me going back for more. The risotto a little under seasoned. Price: 100 for two people inc wine and dessert

I do love Italian food, but my experience in this restaurant was very disappointing. At least now I know I will never go to Viva again and I don't recommend it to you. First off, I didn't enjoy the food at all. I ordered Maltagliati and they brought me a small portion of very salty pork mince with a little bit of tasteless pasta. Secondly, the service was not good either. I was not explained the menu, waiters didn't tell me about any special dishes. When I asked for a WiFi password, the guy said he didn't know and he did not even try to find it out for me. Plus, I witnessed how they welcomed a group of 7 people who had a reservation. They obviously knew the group was coming, however nothing was prepared. And then 2 waiters started to set up a table quite slowly, while I was waiting for my bill. Additionally, the main door is very difficult to open, which is very inconvenient.
Wonderful venue for authentic Italian food. We ate before a show at the Aotea Centre and this will now be our preferred dining spot. We came in on a wild and windy night but it is very easy to enter this establishment.especially as we one guest in a wheelchair, staff were very accommodating seating her. There was a busy buzz but the food, wine and service were excellent.
Good food friendly staff and good atmosphere
It was an absolute delightful experience. Fresh, elegant flavours/presentation. And excellent service from a charming, young woman.
Great pre show dinner great food great staff great service. Fabulous evening all round. .
Food was awesome. Very good value for the price. Service was good, not rushed. Would recommend. Great start before the Ballet at Aotea Center.
Great food. Nicely explained wine menu. Shockingly slow service with shared loo facilities in a disgusting state. We started an early dinner from 5.30. 8pm main plates still uncleared (we only had mains). Two of us asked for plates to be cleared and dessert menus. Desserts delivered while plates were still uncleared. Not sure if two waitresses were feuding and we were collateral damage. Don't care either. Poor and wouldn't go again.
