If I could choose zero stars I would. In June 2018 myself and my fiancé signed a contract to have our wedding on Waiheke in January 2020. I am from the UK and my fiancé is from South Africa so there is a lot of coordinating and planning that is involved with our wedding. In November 2018 Sophia was contracted by the venue as they didn't have a dedicated wedding team to deal with emails and calls etc so Sophia was brought on board to deal with the wedding side of the business. Right from the get go Sophia's attitude absolutely stank. Any questions I may of had was always met with a huge sigh followed by "your wedding is a year away..." (yes Sophia, we know when our wedding is, but we're also spending THOUSANDS of dollars so we want things to be right). In the space of about 5 months I've called Sophia perhaps 5 times and EVERY time I've called (regardless of whether I call in the morning, afternoon or at 6pm) she without fail says "sorry, I'm with my son I've got to go" and proceeds to rush off the phone with no follow up email or call. It's unbelievable that someone who works in a customer service business behaves like this. Her phone manner leaves a lot to be desired too. When you call Sophia and say " Hello, it's Rebecca"...her reply is "hi". That's it. No polite conversation like "how are you?" or "hows the planning going"...just "hi". A combination of her attitude, lack of communication, not managing expectations, not coming back to me with information that she promised she would get over a month ago...the list continues. Ultimately we terminated working with the venue as we couldn't bare working with Sophia. Sophia's last review was on Facebook and like me she received 1 star....BEWARE!!
