They under-quoted and then charged 30% more upon pick-up of the vehicle. Work was completed (and was a successful oil service and filter change) but they could not clear the service light on the dash which was essential due to the impending sale of the vehicle. They claimed no-one in the Waikato could clear the warning light (it needed to go to the dealer) due to the fact it had been a problem for a few months. However the vehicle had only done a small amount of KMs during that time. The "can't fix it" claim was quickly refuted by a local friend who cleared it for me that afternoon with their laptop. He confirmed the reset was not affected by any tolerances within the engine but they simply did not know how to do it or have the tools. Dudley claim they had spent hours (doubtful) googling for a solution which is obviously not what you want to hear from your mechanic. Manual labour aside, the electrical part was completely unprofessional; there was no responsibility, remorse or offer of a recounting of the invoicing for an unsuccessful major part of the service. I believe in paying honestly for people's work but they are not equipped to provide the service they advertise. I also thought it was best to stay with the friendly locals in Taupo but my opinion has changed. In case they come back with some nonsense about "dealer only" resets - my relative is a car mechanic and has stated that there's no vehicle warning you cannot reset apart from a car-key replacement. That is a central part of their business - to service and reset the warnings on a vehicle. The technology has been around since 2000. Would steer well clear of them - go to Tauranga

We broke down on the side of the road towing a caravan 20 mins short of Taupo recently. We were in a precarious position with a dangerous bend and a young family with us. Chris from DMP was passing and stopped to help. From then on we felt like we were in safe hands. He got our car up and running, followed us to our destination to make sure we were o.k and then gave the car a good look over the next day. What a legend! Thanks Chris and your team. Going out of your way to help others, amazing. I can't recommend these guys enough.

Excellent service, friendly people! We encountered a problem with our caravan break system on our way home to Napier from up north, rang them to ask if we could stop by for an emergency check and they were happy to help, easy to get to from express way and reasonably price. Thanks DMP u guys are legends!

Great work from these guys. We broke a hydraulic hose at our workshop that was imperative and a quick chat to Chris and he had us up and running again within the hour. Highly recommended and great customer service.
