Awesome location, next to the beach and a forest to explore. The playground and splash pad were great too, although the splash pad wasn't operating and thus a bit boring. Local store has some good takeaway. Some of the toilet and kitchen buildings need an upgrade. Water tasted like metal and was a little brown, so we bought drinking water. Friendly staff too.

Perfect for a weekend getaway as within an hour from Christchurch, 4 min walk though sand dunes to beach. Facilities are dated but do the job just fine. Will be definitely back for another weekend camping trip.

Fantastic for families. Great beach, but with a strong cross-shore current. Lifeguards on duty though. Very clean and maintained campsite facilities, not super flash but comfy. Great atmosphere, cool forest. River nearby.

First time at the camp had a great walk around the estuary with a 2 hour walk camp facilities clean but dated camp host very friendly

Great spot! Wonderful, friendly service, I really enjoyed my stay here. Facilities are very good and beach is nice and close. Will be back for sure!
