Waitara Military Cemetery

Very interesting set of graves and a monument to English soldiers killed in fighting in 1865. Entry is over a stile adjacent to the sign post and then on straight ahead across the paddock rather than turning and going on an angle in a direct line to the cemetery. Because there is a ditch and an electric fence between the stile and the graves, when to go directly from the gate to the hill to the monument. By going ahead, once over the stile, you will find an easy crossing over that ditch...once over you can turn slightly to the right and safly go directly up the hill to the graveyard.
