Very friendly staff, awesome amenities (laundry, kitchen) and close to central town. Easy access to lake, walks and the Wanaka Tree. Photo from deck.

Well placed for the centre of town. Clean and very helpful staff. We had a problem with our online booking and the manager was very helpful. Not a modern YHA but does have parking and a good selection of facilities.
Good backpacker, great location, but the price is too high, over 100 for private room, 165 for the "deluxe" room which is more expensive then 4 stars hotel Edit: Ben mate, this is covid year... its not your typical tourist year, the following night we stayed in a 4 stars hotel with double queen beds in Queenstown for 121 a night.... Cant keep milking your local kiwis at this time and not expect to hear about it, However we did have a great time and the staff was lovely. Take care mate all the best!
Booked a room with two beds with an en suite for a little holiday at Wanaka. The staff were really nice. It was clean and comfortable, although the wifi didn't seem to reach our room pretty well but still had a pleasant stay overall.
Kitchen, room and bathroom are all good and clean! Plus friendly and attentive staff (kerstin is awesome)! She even helped me to check weather on the spot for my Roy’s peak hike. Sweet as! Psst: lovin the huge window at dining area as you get to see the gorgeous mountain and glacier ️ Limited carpark in YHA but I assume you can park across the street. Laundry is 5.50 for washing and another 5.50 for dryer. The downside is Wifi connection is quite choppy especially from dining area. Even from room wasn’t smooth too. And plug point in room isn’t beside bed by the way. (I stayed in female dorm thanks to kerstin).
We booked two beds in a 6-bed dorm and were the only ones during our stay here. The shower was very spacious with amazing water pressure, the room had lots of space and a kitchenette with a toaster and fridge and you have the option to park your car inside the property so it‘s very safe and for free. Cooking in the main kitchen was a dream as the knives were sharp, pots and pans new and clean and just overall a very good selection of utensils. Would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone coming to Wanaka! Laundry and drying are 5.50 EACH, and we had to use the dryer twice so it was pretty costly. However, you have the option of hanging your clothes up if the weather permits it and the laundry detergent is for free.
Overall is very good Clean and comfortable dorm 3 bed dorm with en-suite mean less people share the bathroom and toilet I like the idea Tranquil environment and friendly staff Have good lake view from public dinning area It has it's own car park which is great. But only can park up to about 10 - 12 cars Only down side is both facilities and decoration are a bit outdated But I still give it 5 out of 5 rating
Clean rooms, good atmosphere, friendly tenants and roomies, and close to everything
