Staying at the House with No Nails is not just a stay. You have an experience like no other. The house is hand built from carting the trees to the last pebbles from the river to saving a trough from the paddock to transform it to a luxurious claw footed bath. The copper pipes under the boards the locally hand forged iron fittings . and the joints that literally have no nails all have a story behind them. Nothing tacky all real, all functional and warm with a view over paddock and ranges. A barn style high ceiling warm house made using 10 th century layout and techniques. Central to everywhere you want to venture. You’ll miss out not to stay there. Lovely people. Highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful, relaxing place with unique architecture, an incredible view, and hosts that have perfected the art of making people feel at home. Excellent conversation, comfortable beds, and a delicious breakfast further combined to make this a truly memorable stay (wish it could have been longer). I am now keen to try more B n B experiences in NZ and hope to visit the 'House with no nails' again one day.

You will seldom experience silver service like this at a regular b&b. Jen anticipated our every need then magically vanished to let the family enjoy being together. The Kaimais provided a dramatic backdrop and even put on a spectacular show with a brief hail and lightening display. The house was warm and spacious, rustic but charming.

What a wonderful experience for us, even though our reason for being at HWNN was a sad occasion sharing Jen and Dewi's house with them took the edge off that. The most wonderful hosts and although we arrived as strangers we left 3 days later as friends with the promise to remain in touch to share our stories and business ideas. The rooms were all very comfortable and well appointed. Fab setting and I will return under happier times and would love to experience your hospitality at a dinner party. Good luck with the Pop-up Gigs, can't wait to hear how they go and I look forward to you coming to stay sometime soon.

What a beautiful house with three floors of timber craftsmanship, as you open the heavy wood front door which swings gracefully, you know this is a magnificent structure with plenty of space to explore. The bedrooms are stunning, with high exposed timber joists, and decorated to match.

This stay was our first in this NZ trip and I have to say it's much more than what I initially expected. The host Jen and Dewi are super nice and offered us superb hospitality, cozy rooms and wonderful afternoon tea/breakfast experience with a lovely story/history about the beautiful house. It could not have been done without great passion and Jen really impressed us. Do not hesitate to book it, definitely one of the best B&B in this area.
