Just had a fantastic evening. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff, absolutely delicious food. Tried some new foods. Extremely interesting and authentic menu. Would definitely go back

Enjoyable Italian food especially their Lamb and Potato mains with an accompanying salad side. I was dining with two friends on a bitterly cold windy evening. But I found the restaurant to be quite cold inside, especially when someone opened their front entrance door. Also I found their the menu almost virtually unreadable especially in dimmed light, and especially when the words for so small. And their hard wooden chairs were so uncomfortable. Our waiter also seen to be rather inexperienced and unfamiliar with the menu when questioned about certain courses. The entrance to their outside toilets seems rather unwelcoming. For these reasons, we will think twice about dining here again soon...... even though their food was really quite enjoyable!!

We love this restaurant and have been about 5 times now. The food is always outstanding (especially the fresh homemade bread) and the way the menu changes regularly is lovely. The service has been excellent on every occasion we’ve visited but they are often understaffed and the staff are running all night to look after all the tables. A couple of extra waiters would be a great idea. This however never really affects our experience as we don’t go there to eat in a hurry.

We had a really bad experience at this place last night. We booked a table for 5 people from 6.00pm till 8.00pm. The service was very slow and we got the mains at 7.50pm and we were asked to leave at 8.00pm as there was another booking at that time. How you are supposed to eat in 10 min in a rush and then leave? Anyway somehow we did and we left. We approached the administrator explained the situation and his answer was "well your booking was till 8.00pm" what kind of service is this? Couldn't care less how we feel and how fast we had to eat to leave the place. He was just rushing us to pay and then leave because there were more people waiting to pay. We couldn't believe the bad service and also overpriced for the meals that don't even come with veggies, only meat and potatoes. Won't never come back to this place again and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Absolutely love the quality food and experience. It's a very intimate place to dine. A hidden gem in the heart of Newtown who would have known! I'll keep going there. And it's at the top of my list amongst all the Italian restaurants in Wellington. Suggested Cicio Cacio to friends and they loved it also. Everyone I come across that's been there have all said amazing comments. My boss said its a special place. Continue to be different Cicio Cacio. Thumbs up!

Been dying to try Cicio Cacio for a while now, and can say it did not disappoint! The handmade ravioli was an amazing, 10/10 experience. Loved the selection of Italian wines, the ambiance, and the overall service we received by the lovely manager. If you're looking for authentic, reasonably priced Italian food - this is the place.

Delicious authentc food. Excellent service. Good value for money. The only disappointment was that when we asked for some butter to go on our bread, we were charged an extra 2.
