I've been here many times over the years but never again. If you don't want to pay for paywave then don't offer it!! Passing surcharge on to the customer is totally underhand. And as for the tiny little sign. Never had this surcharge anywhere else. Petty and pathetic

Rip-off merchants. I will never buy another mag here again. Last copy of Monocle, an expensive UK magazine, was badly dog-eared on the cover top and bottom, yet they refused to take anything off the huge price tag, despite the fact it was 2 days before Christmas, so the unhelpful offer to "send it back to the supplier" was nothing short of sarcastic.. Bad retail practice. If you can't sell a clean copy, have the decency to offer a small discount to acknowledge the damage. It's not about the money, it's the mean-spiritedness that prompts me to post this review. Their response: "We've been here for years and years and never given a discount for damaged goods." So it's their business policy then. One bad experience I can forgive, but today they admitted to ripping Wellingtonians off for years. Shame on you City Cards & Mags!
