Several times I have booked Kiwi Cabs, they are late. I am disabled and ask the operator if there's a long wait so I don't have to stand for long. Today I was told they had plenty and it would be straight away. I waited 35 minutes and still waiting. I am late for work, plus more expensive fare.

Shocking driving seen by a driver of Kiwi Cabs and angry driver. Unbelievable, I wouldn't recommend getting in that car!
We took a taxi with Johnny the Kiwi Cabs driver to the airport. My Dad left his camera in the taxi and only discovered when we were checking in. We rang Kiwi Cabs but also thought it might have been lost elsewhere so started ringing locations where we’d been before we had to fly. Then, Johnny the Kiwi Cabs driver turned up in the departure lounge, looking for us to return the camera!!!!!! We were absolutely astounded and so pleased to see the camera again and so grateful at the effort made and customer service, we will always use Kiwi Cabs now, they are great!! Thanks, Johnny!!!
If I could, I'd give it - 5 stars. Booked the taxi the day before, called to make sure the booking was confirmed and would be here on time. Car never turned up, and after calling again I was told there were no cars operating in the morning... And this is to get to the airport to get an international flight. Avoid using this company!!!
Ordered taxi last night at 11.15pm so me my fiance and another couple could watch the fire works in the city at mid night.. 15 mins later I phoned up they said driver was on his way..no show..it was 11.40pm and time was running out. We phoned Wellington combined and the driver was there in 5 mins we just made it to the fire works from lyall bay. Kiwi cabs you have gone downhill was loyal customer for years but after this experience never again you could have ruined the moment for us. sort out your drivers the 1 in the kilbirnie area never showed up or even called back..
0.5 even! - I took a Kiwicab from the airport queue at Wellington domestic arrival. I told the driver where I was going and sat at the back. I also put in the address on my Google maps so I would know how the house that I am going to, looks like. I have not been to that place and it is only normal for a person new to a place to look thru the internet to see their destination. My Google map started to talk of which I got embarrassed that's why I closed the app. Shockingly, the driver got furious and accused me in a loud hoarse voice with his head turned my way - Why are you doing that? You do not trust the driver!? - I said I want to know where I am going. He yelled while glaring - You do not trust the driver! Next time if you ride my taxi again, I will not take you! You have no trust on the driver!!! He did this 2X! I was alarmed because he looked so furious and so I texted my loved ones to let them know what is happening in case this driver grabbed me and hurt me. I can't even take a picture of his ID because that might provoke him more and he is a huge man ... I think hot-headed drivers like him are not allowed to drive public vehicles in New Zealand. I can do whatever I want with my phone and that's none of his business. He should focus on his job instead of getting paranoid of his customers. That driver succeeded in scaring customers away. I will never take a Kiwi cab again.
The best service - dispatcher was incredibly helpful and the driver was a star. My sister had to get the railway station to catch a bus north, the traffic was particularly heavy and they were running quite late. The driver took her the fastest route and against the odds got her there and on the bus. He even put her bag in the baggage hold on the bus. Its this kind of service that keeps us coming back :-)
They used to be great. Usually friendly drivers. But now some very unfriendly and unhelpful phone staff.
