Fantastic and authentic looking Ramen shop. The buns are amazing too. A good menu with the friendly staff being very helpful on what's in each item. The beer and bun combo is very good value. The beers are both Japanese and local and are all very complementary to the ramen. Do not get intimidated by the spicy menu items, they are not that spicy unless you challenge the chef on adding more fresh chillies. This is the place to be when the Wellington weather is less sunny and more windy.

Very wholesome ramen in different broths. Other side dishes were nice as well. Casual and kid-friendly. Service was attentive, and the environment was clean and tidy. We had the tonkatsu ramen, tan-tan ramen and tako yaki.
Very tasty ramen, good noodles and excellent accoutrement. We were a little disappointed that the tonkotsu broth was not available and the karaage was not quite up to our standards.
Fantastic and authentic Japanese looking ramen shop, great atmosphere and lovely staff with a short and simple menu that covers all bases well. Even my fussy partner enjoyed it! Such a great spot in Wellington and will definitely be going again the next time I’m there.
Now a Japanese chicken burger restaurant, with no Ramen to be seen, still cute and Japanese in style. The menu is simple, just burgers and tater tots (didn't know that was a Japanese thing, certainly didn't notice them when I was there). The Karaage fried chicken is actually tasty and crispy, but the portions are very small for the money, the burger we got was also very oily. I think they need to adjust portion sizes or their prices, maybe just add a small portion of the tots to the burger. I know this place is new so hopefully they can fix and improve things.
As you can see by the pictures we didn’t enjoy it at all! Fantastic ramen - recommend the Chai Sui
Sit where you like when you go in and order at the bar. Our food was with us in about seven minutes and was really good - got a tofu rice bowl and a mushroom ramen, which contained interesting pickled mushrooms, plenty of noodles, vegetables and quite a tasty broth. You can also add further ingredients to the ramen, but it starts getting a bit too expensive if you do that. Not really a place to hang around long but it was great for a quick and filling meal.
Nice place and service but the ramen lacked flavour and was lukewarm. Dissapointed.
