A great place to play petanque. Some equipment is available in the adjacent Cafe.

A small playground with a good variety of equipment (swings, spin buckets, etc.) for younger kids (while older children occupy themselves on the skate-boarding ramps close by?). Park seating and cafe furniture ensures parents and carers can relax with a coffee or refuel from the Waitangi Park Cafe located onsite. Some of the play equipment look fun enough to attract even the adults! From here it is just a stone's throw to the Oriental Beach Playground, Oriental Bay Beach or Esplanade for a stroll or a bite to round off your day. There's even toilets handily located behind the cafe next to the petanque square so your day-trip can proceed smoothly.

Cool playground for older kids and there a water play area too. Also handy is the store selling crepes, ice cream and drinks on site so you can grab a bite while the kids play.
