Enjoyed the zoo as a family outing. Very well kept gardens. Animals look happy. Fair prices. Suggest an app to give more information as we tour the zoo. Well done to the zoo staff!

Went to zoo to draw some of my favourite animals , absolutely brillo pads , fantastic i want to go again and again. Its clean and tidy, the animals look so clean and the general area of the zoo was spotlessly clean, the animals all looked happy.

A small zoo by international standards, but they make sure your experience is great despite the limited number of animals. Highly recommend the Red Panda encounter, they literally eat out of your hand and sit on your lap. The staff are very friendly and informative and you can tell they have a passion for what they do. Also reccommend the various talks they have during the day, they are interesting and fun. Great layout also and food and facilities are adequate. Many of the enclosures allow you to see the animals up close which is great, and even small children have good vantage points. Definitely worth a day out.

I was lucky enough to be given a ticket for the Red Panda close encounter for my birthday. I highly recommend it if you get the chance. I will never forget the feeling of Sundars paw on my hand as he ate his pear and kumera. If you value experiences over objects, this is a priceless memory. They are very calm, gentle and super cute. Thanks to Zach our host as well.

Wonderful zoo, lucky enough to see some enrichment for the caracal. Easy enough to get around in 2-3 hours.

It's an amazing place. It's a small zoo (probably I'm comparing to the zoo's in Australia ! ) But it's locked smack in the city centre They have heaps of animals (kinda disappointed as we did not get to see kangaroo - hence the 4 stars). It's friendly for the kids as well - they have a farm animal area One thing we really enjoyed was the layout. My friend who's from Africa said that the Savana section reminded him of his home. The actual recreation of African houses are pretty amazing Do check it out if you are an animal lover, also if you are a student - there is student pricing!
