We love this place, actually it is our favorite spot all around NZ.
Voted best beach. Heaps of choices for safe swimming spots. Surf or flat. Long sandy beach walks close to an easy going main street with lots of great eateries and shopping opportunities. Friendly happy locals cos how can we not be happy living in paradise
This is a lovely beach. One local told me that this beach was voted the best in New Zealand last year. I have been to better beaches in NZ to be honest, but it's still lovely. The views are great and if you get to kayak out to the island then you should definitely include that in your trip.
Nice beach, lovely scenery and you can take your dogs before 9am or 6pm.
Beautiful beach nice waves. Nice walks along the beach. Did find abit of rubbish here heaps of bins around.
Whangamata is a lovely coastal town, busy town centre with a lot to see. They have amazing beaches and great swimming spots for any family. It is well worth the visit, and also close to some beautiful tourist/holiday attractions!
