4-6 years and more years ago it was lovely beach. However, this beach has become worse and worse every year. Nowadays, this is not the place where you, who has seen this beach before, would like to swim or spend holidays. First of all when you arrive to beach you will feel the stink of feces from a stream flowing into the ocean. It can be result of fast growing building as well as touliet waste products of people from the beach toilet because the qantity of people coming to beach increased tremendously. As a consequence of this the biological environment of the ocean adjacent to the beach has changed and as a result, we can observe multiple blooms of ocean in each month of summer, which was not the case before. The beach has became dirty due to people. It is sadly to see how beautiful place changed into scrap-heap. Unfortunately, there are no place 100 km around Auckland where you can swim in clear ocean today.
Nice clean beach to have fun with family. There is good tide and one can not only swim rather have multiple other thing to explore. Clean toilet. Also a public BBQ place at the beach. There are coffee shop near by. Safe beach as there are life guard available. Nice place for a good long walk at sea shore.
Loved the beach. We could walk next to the water with little debris around. It is great for families, catch a tan or just to catch up with friends over a picnic basket.
Fantastic beach. Loved the river that wrapped around the one side with the rocks to climb on. Perfect family beach with picnic tables and a playground. Plenty of places to relax or explore. Would definitely come back and bring some friends. There is an electric stove top/grill to cook your food on, but no rubbish bins onsite, so keep that in mind.

Beautiful beach, nice for surfing. A lot of space to enjoy a good weather day. Great view.
A safe haven and what I envisage as "my happy place". The scenic views are breathtaking. Love this place!
