Nicky designed the most original, one of a kind, artwork of a gown for me. I brought my jumble of ideas to the table and she managed to create something elegant and timeless, that fit around my tattoos and incorporated my personal style. It fit me like a glove - true couture that made this ordinary girl feel like a bride. Working with her was relaxed and easy and having a gown designed especially for me was a privilege and an experience I won't forget. Thank you!!

Nicky did alterations and repairs on my Rue de Seine gown and I couldn't be happier! She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and made the process so easy. It was a size 10 and I am a size 8 plus it had to be shortened and she also put some cups in for me, now it fits me perfectly! Thanks for making my Rue wedding dress dreams come true xxx

It was amazing to see my daughter have the privilege to wear one of Nicky wonderous creations for a photoshoot. Our time with Nicky was absolutely pleasurable. Thank you so much Nicky for making Dorhryen feel comfortable with you and confident to wear your gown. We had a brilliant afternoon.

My daughter lives in Vancouver and I in France. Sophie wanted a unique wedding dress, she wanted it from her home country, New Zealand, and to pick it out in the company of her Grandmother and aunty. This turned out to be a near impossible task due to the timeframe. After a few disappointing attempts, we were so so lucky to find Nicky. We absolutely loved our experience at White Silk Bridal Boutique. Nicky is not only an incredibly talented designer, she is an all-around amazing and kind person. Nicky was prepared to design and make a dress within a few days!! She listened intently to Sophie’s vision of her dream gown and then said ‘hang-on, let me show you something’. And there it was, the dream dress!!!! Nicky made the necessary alterations to adapt the dress to Sophie and her desires. There was laughter and happiness all around. Having Nicky’s grandmother come into the boutique and seeing the love between them, added to the magic. So did seeing where Nicky works on her creations. The boutique is light, spacious and inviting. Please take the time to come to this store. I promise you, you will not regret it. P.S. The wedding, due to take place in France, had to be postponed due to Covid-19. We'll post photos after the happy day.

As a fashion photographer, I can't praise the designer of White Silk Bridal Couture enough for her work in creating stunning wedding dresses in Tauranga. The dedication and application that Nicky puts into her work is outstanding. She is amazing with her clients and her gowns are magnificent. If you're looking for a gown that is made of the very highest quality, and is made-to-measure, then I would very much recommend contacting Nicky. Her boutique at the Historic Village in Tauranga is a beautiful place to chat about bridal gowns, and is very much worth a visit if you're looking for a wedding dress in Tauranga or you're from outside the city. There's also a really nice cafe next door too!
