I have been training at the Wing Tsun Academy for around two years and find it very rewarding. Sifu Zhoe is an excellent teacher and has a great rapport with the children in the children classes. Come along if you want to discover the power within you.

Very knowledgeable teacher! I’m taking one on one flexibility lessons (rather than martial arts lessons) and have already learnt a lot of details, tips and new stretches that has helped with my tight hips, lower back and hamstrings. 100% recommended

My two children attended the children's class Saturday mornings and enjoyed the style of instruction as delivered by Sifu Zhou. The class offered fitness training and all the basics of martial arts that one would expect but in a kid friendly, fun and engaging manner. Sifu Zhou was very creative and each session differed in the way the students practiced the same elements of Wing Tsun. The dojo is very well resourced in tools that assist students to develop Wing Tsun. I recommend the academy highly.

If you want to learn martial arts or simply have a place to train, you should have a look into this wing tsun academy. I felt more than welcome during my time in wellington and am more than sad to leave back to my home town. Try the free introduction class if you want to join. The WT-classes are well structured and additional to the physical exercises you are teached the spiritual aspects of Wing Tsun. You can choose quite flexible what you want to do. They offer beginner classes 3 times per week. Additionally you can take some hiit workouts or martial art trainings. Furthermore advanced philosophy or personal trainings. Pizzaday and summerfest were some of my Highlights. Thank you so much for having me.

I've been training here for almost two and a half years. I've really benefitted from a inclusive and non-aggressive learning environment, it's allowed me to become much more confident in confrontational situations and be much more grounded in myself. The two teachers who run the gwoon have a lot of experience and understanding about Wing Tsun, and there's also fitness and flexibility classes to compliment the training. It's really welcoming for people of all walks of life, whether you're a beginner to martial arts or have been doing it for some time. And it's really welcoming for women too! It can be daunting getting into a martial art but I really trust the teachers and the people I train with. Would definitely recommend.

After several years of training at the Wing Tsun Academy I can vouch for it being a friendly, embracing gwun - with a solid community of people from all walks of life. WTA takes kung fu seriously and doesn't cut corners; the Sifu's are uncompromising in their desire to create good martial artists and teach the Wing Tsun system. The Academy combines elements of traditional Shaolin kung fu with an emphasis on fitness, focus, confidence, and effective (non-trivial) martial arts application. I have enjoyed my time there very much and look forwards to many more years of training.
