Canterbury Honda, Woodend Honda. Overcharged me for work on my bike, didn't call me to let me know it was going to cost more (more than double what we talked about). Made me make payment before i could get my bike back. Set my chain tension to hard, ie there was literally no movement in it at all. Was not interested in coming to a resolution over cost. To respond to the below comment by the garage. I didn’t have the time to take the wheels off myself which I why I called on their services based on the amount of time they quoted. They said it shouldn’t be much more than about an hours work but unfortunately it was more than two. If I had known or if they had called me to let me know it would be so much I wouldn’t have had the work done. They didn’t contact me to let me know it was going to cost a lot more than we had discussed. The cost was discussed with someone we know who works at a bike garage elsewhere in the country, he also said it shouldn’t take that long and the cost was excessive. The bike came back with the bike chain so tight that you could almost play a tune on it, it was also missing the front sprocket locking nut and tab washer. Though this could have come off during a previous ride it’s a bit odd it wasn’t spotted by their “technicians” at their workshop. We didn’t come to a resolution on cost because they weren’t for moving even an inch. I’m disgusted by their quality of work and their customer service and won’t be returning.
