What an awesome place . take the motorway from the city and head out, follow the gravel roads and you end up in a carpark with a 4x4track heading down to the beach. the sand is soft so high 4wheeldrives can ho down to the beach. Its off the beaten track, great surf when the swell is small. No toilets available.. love it

The trails are awesome, good for the beginners and expert, for me, it is one of the best in auckland region, you can also rent a bike and parking is not a problem, friendly staff too.
