The Youth and Community Trust offers recreational and pastoral services for young people in Nelson. We currently operate The Truck, a mobile recreation at five different locations each week across the city. As well as drop in recreation we offer youth events and community event support. In addition to The Truck we have the Youth Transition Service (YTS) family of services. The Work Forward program supports young people to get off benefit and into work. Emergency housing helps young people who are at risk of sleeping rough with support around their housing needs or emergency accommodation. There is also a general Youth Transition Service which offers support around all aspects of moving into adulthood.
