Always greeted with a smile and remembered even tho we are not regular customers. Coffee and food delicious and prices are reasonable. Service is fast and efficient. They have a great outdoor area for dining and also a 2 play areas, farm animals and a maze to keep the young and old amused.

Really friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. The pod was cute and cosy. The facilities were adequate and tidy. You definitely need ear plugs if staying overnight as this is next to SH1 hence road noise throughout the night.

We spent a night in the little log cabins & it was so lovely. Waking up to the birds & the lovely scenery. The staff where very friendly and made our stay very pleasant. Will definitely go back for a little overnight charge..

Stopover for lunch at this place while travelling on intercity bus. On my first visit, I bought a sandwich and requested for it to be toasted. Staff told me that I will need to pay extra 1 because they need to use power for toasting. The second time I visited this place, I bought a bowl of small fries just like the locals at the table next to mine. They requested for aioli and the staff mentioned that she will bring it over. I put up the same request and was told that I need to pay an extra 1. I can’t help but wonder why there’s differential in treatment between locals & foreigners???

We have driven past here for years, big mistake. This is a great place to break your trip. Amazing food and service. Also resident alpacas and other farm animals outside. Plenty of parking

A must if doing a long drive in/out of Wellington with kids in the car. Extensive menu & cabinet food, friendly & attentive staff plus a bouncey castle, toys, petting zoo, playgrounds & mazes for the little people to stretch legs. A great find. Will make it a regular stop.

Our family of 4 were delighted with our cabin (full of thoughtful little touches) evening meal and faclities when staying on Tuesday evening. A warm welcome, reasonable prices. and endless entertainment for our boys - they were asking when we would come back before we had pulled onto the highway. Shared faclities are clean and more than adequate - great work team fist hills!

In the middle of nowhere, feeling a bit carsick, hungry for a bite and busting for a... This place is an oasis that always seems to appear when you need it most. This was our fate yesterday as we headed back to Wellington after the long weekend. To our amazement there was a vibe about this place that was quite frankly electric, the lovely staff along with the beautiful outside seating area, full of life on this sunny Tuesday afternoon. A great place to sit down and enjoy a coffee while the little ones play with the array of farm animals in the adjacent paddock. This place really is a hidden gem. One thing tarnished this experience however, the 7.00 cheese toasties.
