Good place to picnic if you love in South Auckland. Nice country side drive from Botany or from Takanini. Spend whole day under the sun with good views of Waiheke and Rangitoto. Safe place for kids to let them be.

Peaceful and very casual. Friendly host. Clean (but pungent) long drop. Stunning views!

A pleasant regional park and campground managed by Auckland city council. Basic facilities (long drop toilets). Must be booked in advance by phone or with the local ranger. Undulating ground with some flat pitches. Coastal walkway and perimeter track. Good children's play park at campground entrance. Can be noisy in the early morning and late at night due aircraft on flight path to Auckland airport. Some facilities for the disabled.

Great place to get some outdoors in ya. Takeaways up the road are decently priced. Self contained area is well priced and facilities close by; no shower and no lights in the toilets but nothing a torch cant fix. Park rangers are there to advise and enforce rules, very happy with their help 8)

Nice large campground with plenty of space, and quietness and some good views of the beach and water.. enjoyed the weekend there, and so east to book. Will be going back there in the near future just to relax and get away from the buisy city.

Great little spot, safe and has a great view across to Devonport, Rangitoto and the city. The park is an easy walk to Beachlands, it takes you past a football field and a shared wlakinh/bike track. Alternatively, in other direction you can walk to Maraetai and along the beach.

Love this camping ground despite the loud music from next neighbor campers
