Disappointed with overall handling of my situation. Rented a car from a limited set of options. The car given had not been thoroughly checked as previous driver obviously is a smoker! Not apparent to me initially but to other members of my family, and we ended not using the car and waited for next working day to return. Confusion between call center and the east tamaki branch and I ended not able to get partial refund including insurance. Unfortunate indeed.

After the first pre booked truck was going in for repairs due to a hirer damaging it and being downgraded to a smaller furniture truck for the same price as the large we were a bit concerned when the night before we needed to move we heard that the previous people haven't brought that 1 truck back and they couldn't get a hold of them we were very stressed as we didn't know if there would be any suitable options in the time frame we needed it for as small size without lift was too small We turned up early in the morning and the truck still had not come back at this point we were stressed more because we had only booked it for 10 hours and had ALOT to do, but the person who served us was amazing! For the inconvenience of all of the changes and the delayed return by previous people, he let us keep the truck overnight at no extra cost and he credited us with the difference between the large truck and the medium truck as we had been charged more than what the price was so based ONLY on this staff member and his unexpected help we give Hireace ET a 5 star review! I wish I had written his name down but thank you very much to the guy working on the morning of the 9th Jan 2021 you really made our day and we got everything sorted and moved thanks to your extra time you gave us. Will use again if needed
