Auckland, New Zealand

It's a great track for beginners. It's a 2 - 2.5 hours trek up and down. The track is through a ancient lava field. On reaching the top, you could see the Auckland city, which is amazing. The trek is also kids friendly.

Absolutely a must do. I loved every minute of getting to the summit and lava caves. The walk is just so enjoyable. Would do it again. Great track well marked.
Great day out. A short ferry ride and then options of walking straight to the summit and back or longer more scenic routes. MacKenzie Bays little beach is an unexpected delight after the tough terrain of volcanic rock from the summit. I hope that DoC has a plan for the serious wasp problem at the summit.
Nice place, easy to reach, medium hard to walk through, not quite fun for little kids.
A good walk but not wheelchair friendly. You need a physical fit to get to the top. Certain parts of the track is slippery and uneven. View from the top is great you can see some old military facilities.
A good walk. Easy enough that my five-year-old could do it. Just make sure you pack some food and lots of water.
A great hike up the volcano! Highly recommended!
Best day walk in Auckland. Easy to do and stunning views.
