There are 2 waterfalls in this Reserve. The first one is a small Falls after a short walk after crossing the swing bridge; the 2nd one is much bigger one but only visible from a platform that’s built at a distance n to reach there you have to climb uphill. It’s worth the effort though

The Tangoio Fall carpark fills up fast so you're best to start at the other end at White Pines where there is much more parking and seating for eating. The 45 minute walk this way takes you down through 2 small redwood glades and down to the falls for a swim at the waterfall. Trees across the path hopefully will be cleared and some of the pathway re-gravelled when they do maintenance on it from. Nov 2020 to May 2021. A nice little walk.

Great walk and waterfall views. Sturdy shoes needed, even in dry weather there's a few boggy patches. Sign at the trailhead states 40 min return to Te Ana Falls and 50 min return to Tangoio Falls lookout, but once you get to Te Ana Falls the sign says another 15 mins each way to the lookout, which is more accurate.

Great short walk to waterfalls and really nice for a family outing. 20 mins walk to Te Ana Falls. Water is cold but It’s refreshing after hot summer walk. There’s another waterfall further up about 15 mins walk but be mindful that it’s only a look out and some of the track are about 500mm - 600mm you need to be extra careful especially when the ground is wet could be a little slippery.

There are two beautiful waterfalls as main attractions, Te Ana falls which is only a 40 minutes walk from carpark and Tangoio falls Lookout which is a 1 hour return walk...It is an easy walk which can be enjoyed by people with average fitness.. Amazing forest and waterfalls... so bad that people are so dirty and leave garbage in the place... don't be one of them!
