A must visit and spare some time to view this wonderful Castle Hill. Worth to walk to the top of the rocky hill. So beautiful. After this hill spend time to climb Devil's Punch Bowl to see the beauty of falls. It's to good to climb if you have strong stamina. Then get some food to eat afterward at Arthur's Pass Eatery either pizza with hot soup or just delicious pies. Will definitely visit these places with friends soon. Enjoy.

Went there will our 5 year old son and He's doing well climbing and walk for 4 hours. We always having a small break every hour so He's not too tired. Make sure you bring your drink and put on sunscreen. Make sure you are using toilet on parking area before you go inside. Amazing view and great for family outing. Have fun

Must visit. Spend anywhere from an hour to hours here exploring the rocks. Walk the extra 5 mins to the top at the end of the track for a nice view down.

1.5 hours drive from Christchurch, great half way stopping point on the way to arthur's pass. Toilet is available. Pretty scenic too.

Fabulous rest stop with magnificent views. Also the start point for a scenic walk. Toilet is excellent excellent standard although car parking is quite hard to get especially during peak season.

This is a must stop if you are on the way to the west coast, big parking with toilet facility, excellent place to stretch your legs and take a break. Short walk to the Castle Hill actual site, the boulder stones itself are intriguing enough. Let alone the scenery along the highway, so beautiful, definitely worth spending time here.

The track is an easy one. There are some that aren't so steep, so you can get to the rock summit. The views and the shapes of the massive rocks are amazing.
